What we've been up to for the past 2 months...

I feel like I start every post with...where does the time go. My last post was over 2 months ago, so sad...so sorry! I've added several pictures below to try and catch up. We enjoyed a great trip to Texas in March. The kids did well on the plane rides and thanks to my wonderful mom and sister I had company driving from Little Rock to Texarkana (they drove all the way from Ohio but made sure they were in Little Rock when I landed so we could travel together)...it was a long day, but well worth it! I was able to see all but one of my cousins on the trip and had lots of quality time with my Namps and my Granny...I love them so much!

April flew by - I've added some pictures from Easter! (I can't remember much more :-)

Now we're in the middle of May...Adriana only has two weeks left of preschool. She'll take the summer off from school (we have a wonderful friend watching the kids at home this summer) and then she'll be in kindergarten...is it a joke? My precious little Adriana just isn't so little any more. She started a "creative dance" class where she gets to learn a little tap, a little ballet, etc...she loves it!!! Logan is 9 months old and is all over the place...he is doing the "army" crawl and gets anywhere he wants to go...I really tried to appreciate the "sit where I put him" stage, but it went so QUICKLY.

Ben and I are still busy, busy working hard. I love my job and the new team I'm working with - trying to find more time at home and less time working - what a struggle!

Memere, we have to make sure you aren't taking all the pictures so I can get you in these posts more often :-)

Again, it's been way too long! Thought I'd send a couple of quick pics of the kids. Logan is 7 months old and is sitting up so well on his own. Adriana is still such a great big sister...here's a quick peak of how she's been torturing Logan :-)

Also some pictures of Adriana and our friend, Reilly. We love being back in the Greenbrier area...the Wynnes just stopped by tonight on their evening walk (did I mention it was 80 degrees today)...I love that spring is here!!!

It's been a while and a lot has happened since December! We moved before Christmas and then had a great trip to Ohio. After we got back I started working with a new real estate team and am really liking my new job (although working full time plus is quite an adjustment)! Ben is working hard as usual and the kids are doing so well! Adriana loves school and Logan, after a bout of pneumonia a couple of weeks ago, is growing so fast all of a sudden. He is sitting up now and eating peas, sweet potatoes, avocados and bananas...where did 6 months go? I decided to not include pictures from the last two months but just catch up with some current pictures from yesterday (especially since I think I lost some when my computer died recently)...boy, am I looking forward to some calm and routine soon :-)

Catching up again...

It's time again to catch up on pictures from the Rego household. I apologize it's been so long...it's that time of year :-) You'll see below that Logan started rice cereal last week. By day 5, he LOVED it. He actually smacks his lips when he sees the bowl coming! By the way, it was 70 degrees here today...thus the short sleeves :-) I promise the kids wear more clothing when it actually gets cold!

Thought I would share some pics from Adriana's big hair cut, a fun night with Sherilan and other great pics.

Adriana is SO excited about her hair cut...about 4 inches were cut off!

This is just the cutest picture of Adriana & Sherilan. Notice the hair do's...Adriana made sure they were matching! It's so cute to see these two starting to play so well together - they are going to be such great friends!!

I know there are several things wrong with this picture...first Logan's too young for a hair cut and Ben is holding Adriana's toddler scissors. You guessed it...I let Ben trim Logan's hair in the back. Ben just couldn't take the "old man do" anymore - he decided Adriana's scissors were safer for a squirming infant :-)

Cabin & Cousins

The kids and I spent a much needed long weekend with my mom (Nonni), my sister Erin and my nieces Keely, Alana and Brooke in Lexington, VA. They were so sweet to come closer our direction for Logan's first "road trip". I went a little crazy with how many pictures I've posted to this blog, but I just adore my family and my nieces are just too cute...enjoy!!

Alana, Keely and Brooke have waited for nearly 3 months to meet Logan...they have been so patient & anxious at the same time!!

This was the night we arrived - we were there about an hour before the "Ohio crew" got there. I can say I was very near a breakdown after a 4 hour trip took 7 hours...however, my kids were just fine!! I definitely learned to not try to control how long a trip will take with just me and the kids.

I can't begin to explain what a happy baby Logan is! He began rolling over while we were at the cabin (back to front).

This time of year Adriana's preschool does a "Farm Day" with pony rides, hay rides and all sorts of fun adventures! I thought I would put a picture of Adriana from this year and last year...so cute! She brought home a pumpkin which she said was "perfect for pumpkin pie" so I guess we'll tackle that soon...my first from scratch!

Catching Up...

Since it's been a couple of weeks, I thought I'd post several pictures from different times over the past couple of weeks. It's been a hectic time but it's always the kids that bring me back to what joy God has blessed us with! We are so happy to report that Memere's (Ben's mom's) surgery last week went very well - her recovery has been unbelievable!!

Ben Turns 33!

This past week (Oct 8th) Ben turned 33! We celebrated by going to a Hibachi grill for dinner...Adriana was in awe the entire time and Logan just sat so quietly watching everything. Unfortunately I forgot my camera!!! We came home and had cake and opened presents! I've also put pictures from our adventure at Busch Gardens last weekend...Ben requested we go there for his birthday!

After a quick scavenger hunt, Ben found the bike he wanted for his birthday!

Where did 2 months go?

Logan was 2 months old on Sunday...so hard to believe! Today he went to the doctor for his check-up and he's a whopping 14 lb, 10 oz...while I'm not totally surprised, it's hard to believe he is nearly 2 pounds more than Adriana was at his age and we all know what a little "chunky monkey" she was - I guess he's just a thick little boy! He was 25 inches long (well, the 2nd time they measured him...the first time he was 25 1/2 inches and they didn't believe it so they re-measured...seems to be "par for the course" with my kids). He was 97% on both height & weight so just one big boy :-)

Sadly, he had to have 5 shots...it always breaks my heart! I came home and took the pictures below only 3 hours later...I guess he stills loves me :-)

He really is such a HAPPY baby!

Adriana turned 4 yesterday; she had such a wonderful day! It started out with some "snuggle time" with Momma & Daddy in bed, then on to help Momma make chocolate chip pancakes (a favorite). She decorated cupcakes in the morning with Memere and then got ready for her big adventure to Build-a-Bear. Adriana was able to invite two friends to go to Build-a-Bear with her...we picked up Amelia and Mercy and were on our way. We made a quick stop by Mrs. Martha's house where Adriana had flowers, a balloon and care bear waiting for her...so sweet! The girls had so much fun at Build-a-Bear...I couldn't resist taking tons of pictures of the three beautiful blondies :-) They had so much fun and, of course, chose to make the exact same bear! We ended our adventure at Cold Stone Creamery where we sang Happy Birthday to Adriana and she got to open presents...what a fun trip!! Later we had dinner of Chicken Pizzaola which Adriana picked out (well with help from Momma since we didn't all want "chicken nuggets"). She opened presents and had to conquer her new 63-piece puzzle before going off to bed. Enjoy the pics!! I'll update again after her family birthday party on Saturday!!

Well, Logan's umbilical cord FINALLY fell off so we were able to take a "real bath". He was quite content! I can't believe he'll be 1 month old tomorrow (Friday, Sept 5)...where does the time go???

Adriana has been waiting & waiting for her first day of preschool this year! She loves school and told me on the way yesterday "I'm a big girl now, you can just drop me off at the front door"...needless to say, I said "no thank you"...I guess I needed to see her off more than she needed to say bye to me! Maybe it's my new "mother of two" brain, but I nearly forgot to take a picture so we got one in the car :-)

Here's Adriana in her new classroom...she was excited to see several of her friends from last year in her class...it's going to be a great year for her!

Aunt Erin's Visit

We had such a GREAT visit with Erin over Labor Day weekend! She got to spend lots of time with Adriana and Logan. She was so sweet to clean our house, freeze dinners, and play with Adriana non-stop!! I don't know what I would do without her...she is such a wonderful sister and aunt! We can't wait to meet up with Erin & the girls & Nonni in October (Adriana & I created a calendar so we can "count down" to our next visit).

Adriana spent the day with Ashley on Thursday (a "last hoorah" before Ashley heads back to Longwood). Adriana is one lucky girl as Ashley and the entire Carawan family really spoil her rotten! Of course her day was only complete with a trip to Chick-fil-A...she had such a great day!

Our friends Jason, Melanie and Sherilan spent some time with us Sunday afternoon - it was much needed as I was starting to get cabin fever! Adriana convinced Melanie to help build a "block town"

Adriana absolutely loves Logan and wants to hold him, get diapers, help with bathtime...anything I'll let her help with!! Sometimes, Logan gets a little frustrated but Adriana's going to be a great big sister :-)

What would we do without Grandparents??

Adriana and Logan have the best grandparents in the whole world!! We are so blessed to have Pepere & Memere right down the street and ready to help us out anytime we need it. They have been watching Adriana at least 2 days a week since she was 8 weeks old...they can't wait to start that with Logan too!

I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have my mom (Nonni) here all last week to help get adjusted with little Logan. She cooked, cleaned, ran errands, played (and played and played) with Adriana...I guess it goes without saying she is sorely missed this week :-)

Adriana just loves to spend time with her Memere & Pepere...2 - 3 times a week she spends the day with them and I have a feeling gets to do whatever she wants :-) As you can see, Pepere is quite the trooper...how many grandpas will venture into a Dora tent or be the personal sprinkler for Adriana to run and play?

I thought I would start this blog to give a glimpse into the life of The Rego Four. We are waiting in great expectation for the fourth addition...our little boy expected August 5th (hopefully before :-). Adriana can't wait to meet her little brother and we can't wait to be a family of four. I'm hoping this will be an easy way to add pictures and update often.
